Tracker funds saw a net outflow of £31.7m in the first quarter of 2009 after seeing major inflows at the end of last year, according to the IMA. The Association's latest figures also indicate fund of fund sales have boomed, up 65% compared with Q4 2008, though slightly down over twelve months. The final quarter of 2008 saw high levels of interest in trackers as stock markets plunged to new lows, suggesting investors hoped to cash in on low equity prices.
