New entrants to the UK asset management market face stiff competition from established providers, but with barriers to entry falling, more and more European firms are entering the fray.

It may be a famously difficult nut to crack, but the UK market is increasingly being seen as the next port of call for continental asset managers looking to expand their business. A number of European investment managers have made a push to enter the UK arena in the aftermath of the RDR, taking advantage of their ability to launch clean share classes without worrying about legacy fees.
