Cavendish’s chief investment officer Julian Lewis has followed a simple idea on his £72m Worldwide fund: look at the business, do not worry about the market. This second stance in particular has enabled him to consistently outperform the Active Managed sector, irrespective of market conditions, in the last three years, posting a return of 42.6% against an average 22.3%. “Generally we do not pay a lot of attention to market weightings.
