Threadneedle's head of UK equities Graham Kitchen is aiming to put all the group's UK retail funds into the top quartile on a rolling three-year basis. Kitchen, who came on board last year to help revamp the investment process, said for the range to achieve this, it has to be top quartile, or top of second quartile, on a year-by-year basis. He admitted Threadneedle's performance as a UK fund manager has not been good enough in the past.
