First State is to offer investors access to three specialist portfolios within its Dublin-based Global Umbrella fund to take advantage of recent changes in offshore legislation. Subject to regulatory approval, the China Growth and Greater China Growth funds, managed by Martin Lau, as well as the Asian Growth fund, managed by Alistair Thompson, will be offered to UK investors. The group said the selection of those three funds is in response to customer demand.
