region's markets are seeing good returns and yet prejudice against many countries still rife
Despite excellent returns from emerging markets over long and short-time timeframes, traditional prejudices surrounding the region still need to be overcome, according to Jules Mort, manager of the Threadneedle Latin America fund. Mort said emerging markets have seen exceptionally good returns over one, three, five and 10-year periods and yet people primarily think of political corruption when looking at the region.
