Investors in one of the Bear Stearns hedge funds that collapsed in July are awaiting details of whether a bid to replace the Wall Street bank with an independent administrator has been successful. The investors have called meetings at Bear's offices in New York and London, where they plan to replace Bear with FTI Capital Advisors, an arm of FTI Consulting. They hope the publicly quoted forensic accounting group will be able to gather evidence of mismanagement, which may possibly be used during legal proceedings.
