Having languished in the bottom five of the IMA’s Europe ex UK sector for two years, the Baillie Gifford European fund has moved up to second quartile over the past 12 months. According to bid to bid data from Standard & Poors the fund, managed by Paul Faulkner, returned 36.42% over the twelve months to 11 April against the sector average of 36.48%. This translated to a ranking of 35 out of 94 funds.
