The solar stock rising 500% to power this top tech trust

A solar power stock that has soared over 500% year-to- date has boosted Allianz Global Investors' RCM Global Technology trust to top-decile performance.

European investors tend to associate solar power with government subsidies and EIS schemes stimulating start-ups. However, US company SunPower is building a presence in what manager Walter Price (pictured) describes as “high cost, high power areas” such as California and Japan.
