Recent market turmoil and commodity sell-offs have damaged three-year numbers in the Specialist sector, although LatAm funds still dominate

Three-year results in the Specialist peer group have been devastated by market turmoil over the last four months, with commodity sell-offs dragging many funds down. The sector's three year best return was 266% at the end of May from Neptune Russia but it is currently 76% from Scottish Widows Latin American. When Investment Week last reviewed the Specialist sector on 26 May, it found the top eight UK-domiciled funds for three-year performance all housed in the peer group.
