As one of the early protégés of Aberdeen Asset Management guru Hugh Young, it is easy to understand why Shahreza Yusof is so in tune with the firm's equity investment process. Yusof was Young's second graduate trainee, joining Aberdeen as a member of the Asian equities team in 1994. After a stint in the firm's London office and brief time away from the company, the manager returned to Aberdeen to join its Philadelphia outpost in 2006, before being appointed the firm's head of US equities after it acquired Nationwide Financial.
