Despite the wave of takeover speculation that has accelerated since the start of this year, managers with exposure to equities have enjoyed strong growth in the UK Other Bond sector. Over three years to the end of June, Invesco Perpetual's Monthly Income Plus fund has topped the sector with cumulative bid-to-bid growth of 55.3% against the peer group mean of 30.14%, according to figures from Standard & Poor's.
