Swine flu pandemic fears have so far had a marginal impact on global markets although there has been much speculation about what the true effects could be. Investors worldwide were undoubtedly unnerved when reports began to materialise about the deaths in Mexico. The news gradually got worse shortly after the initial outbreak, with confirmed cases spreading into the US, Canada, mainland Europe and the UK.
