Despite resurgence of investment trust market, there is little consensus on how products should be marketed

While the months of crushing headlines after the split-cap fiasco have left their mark on the investment trust industry, new players are gradually taking hold of a sector that seems to be emerging from the shadows. On 31 December 2000, the list of the top 10 investment trust asset holders was dominated by groups that had been involved in the industry for generations.
