The Big Picture: What were the biggest stories from October?

In October, Rishi Sunak's Autumn Budget got a mixed reception due to the notable lack of green initiatives.

Chinese equities suffered as they lost support from investors, and there were disgreements from investors about the break up of oil giant Shell. Elsewhere, Charles Randall stepped down from the FCA, a decision that was met with confusion from many in the inustry. A report also showed that the percentage of female fund managers had dropped since 2000.
