What is driving the growing popularity of debt investment companies - and what do they actually do? Debt has been one of the fastest growing areas of the investment company industry over the past ten years, offering high levels of income in an era of ultra-low interest rates. Debt investment companies now represent £9.1bn in total assets across 31 companies in the three debt sectors: Debt - Direct Lending, Debt - Loans & Bonds and Debt - Structured Finance.
