AXA IM acquires ClimateSeed from BNP Paribas

AXA Investment Managers has acquired ClimateSeed from BNP Paribas Securities Services as part of its efforts to address climate change and preserve biodiversity.

The acquisition has been made through the firm's Impact Investing Strategy, managed by its AXA IM Alts division that has €162bn of assets under management. ClimateSeed, which launched in 2018, acts as a marketplace to connect businesses that want to offset their carbon emissions with developers offering carbon reduction projects that have both environmental and social benefits.
