HSBC GAM appoints global head of external wholesale

HSBC Global Asset Management has today (6 February) announced the appointment of its first global head of external wholesale, Thorsten Michalik, in the newly created role.

Michalik will report into Christophe de Backer, global head of wholesale business and partnerships, and brings with him 19 years of experience, most recently as global co-head of distribution at DWS, prior to which he spent four years at UBS.
