The Conservative Government will prioritise taking the United Kingdom out of the European Union by 31 January 2020, as it outlined plans for its latest term after what Prime Minister Boris Johnson called a “seismic election”.

Johnson said the second Queen's Speech of 2019 was "the most radical… in a generation", after winning a strong majority at last week's General Election. He added the Government's first task is "to get Brexit done", with the Queen outlining the Government would "bring forward legislation to ensure the United Kingdom's exit on that date".
