Barings expands research team with chief European strategist

Agnès Belaisch has joined Barings in the newly created role of chief European strategist to help provide "guidance and context" to the firm's investment teams.

Effective 16 December, Belaisch will be responsible for "providing macroeconomic and geopolitical guidance and context [to help] navigate markets and identify synergies" across Barings' platforms and strategies. Barings' Cooper: Women in the industry 'need the confidence to back themselves' Based in London, she will report to Christopher Smart, chief global strategist and head of the Barings investment institute.
