HSBC GAM hires fixed income manager from BlackRock

Shamil Pankhania joins from BlackRock

HSBC Global Asset Management (HSBC GAM) has added to its fixed income team with the appointment of Shamil Pankhania as a credit portfolio manager within the global bonds team.

In his new role, Pankhania, who is joining from BlackRock, will lead and manage the buy and maintain credit investment business. He will also support the broader portfolio management of global and UK fixed income funds, HSBC GAM said. Based in London, he will report into head of global bonds Ernst Osiander. Osiander said: "Bringing Shamil into the team is part of an ongoing effort to boost our fixed income capabilities.
