Janus Henderson Investors hires four to boost EM equities team

Janus Henderson Investors has raided Boston-based asset manager Putnam Investments to add a quartet of portfolio managers and analysts to work within its global emerging market equities team.

The team will be headed by Daniel J. Graña, who joins Janus Henderson after 20 years with Putnam, where he helped to run their emerging market equities team. As portfolio manager for global emerging market equities, he will report to George Maris, co-head of equities at Janus Henderson. Graña will be joined by colleagues Matthew Culley, Matthew Doody and Peter Li. The trio, also snapped up from Putnam, will be research analysts at Janus Henderson, with Culley taking up the additional role of assistant portfolio manager.
