To mark International Women's Day 2024 Investment Week spoke to eleven female-identifying fund managers, analysts and CIOs about whether Meta's inaugural dividend is a sign that the company, along with its FAANG cohort, is entering a more mature phase.

In the tech giant's annual results on 1 February, Meta said it would introduce its first ever dividend at 50 cents (39p) a share. The announcement fuelled a huge market response and served to drive its share price up considerably, contributing to a more than £110bn being added to its valuation on the day. Meta, formerly Facebook, alongside the likes of Amazon, Netflix, Google and Apple, is part of the FAANGs, a term first coined by Jim Cramer in 2013 to describe some of the most prominent companies in the tech sector.  The members of this clique have changed over the years and the cur...
