What makes fund selectors tick? Who have been their biggest inspirations in the investment world? How do they assess new funds? What is the art/science behind buy lists?

In our new Investment Influencers series, we try to answers these and many other questions as we probe the thought processes of the key gatekeepers in our industry. So what have we uncovered so far? In terms of inspiring figures for our selectors, the Sage of Omaha Warren Buffett has already made a few appearances, as has Fidelity's Peter Lynch, manager of the giant Magellan fund and author of seminal investment titles One Up On Wall Street and Beating The Street.
