Martin Currie's Jeff Casson believes Mexico offers investment opportunities, but what are the risks?

My first thought on arriving in Mexico is it has so much potential for growth. It also has the hindrances one would expect of an economy that is expanding very fast. Congestion on the roads has not improved, and it can now take up to an hour to travel across town in Mexico City, a distance of only 10 km. A large proportion of the Mexican economy remains informal, with estimates that this is close to 50% in the retail channel.
