It is always dangerous for an opposition party to mix its metaphors when it criticises the Budget.

So is George Osborne the 3Rs man - rescue, reform, and recovery - as he claims, or iPod George or Del Boy as David Milliband retorted? It depends on your politics of course, but what was clear was Osborne is keen to get over the message that ‘Britain is Open for Business'. He did his best to make the tax regime sound a little less complex and dangle a bit to everyone no matter whether they pay no tax or lots of tax.
