Pensions versus dreams - a young person's perspective

During a week of work experience Robert Newton spent time working across the investment and pensions magazines at Incisive Media. As part of the process we asked him to give his views on pensions. Below is his response.

Blank page syndrome is meant to only apply to attempts by writers to embark on some epic novel, not to a work experience boy writing an article on pensions. But I’m struggling to conjure up anything with regard to them. Mundane, humdrum, tedious – yet somehow out of reach. The pension, it would appear, is just as elusive to write about as any loftier problem. But should it be? The pension is an integral and universal component of modern life – knowledge of it should be widespread. But ask any of the so-called youth of today about pensions and our expression will match the page. Why? ...
