Lindsell Train investors blocked from transferring away from Hargreaves Lansdown - reports

Can't transfer between share classes

Investors in Nick Train's top-performing global equity fund have been unable to switch their money away from the Hargreaves Lansdown platform, facing a similar problem to Woodford fund holders did last week, according to reports.

HL's rival interactive investors has said holders of the Lindsell Train Global Equity fund on the HL platform have not been able to move their money to a different platform since the beginning of this month, The Times reported. In a similar issue as was faced by investors locked into the beleaguered Woodford Equity Income fund, the problem comes down to being unable to switch between share classes: while HL customers are invested in the D share class at an annual cost of 0.5%, interactive investor utilises the B share class at a cost of 0.65%.
