Veteran former Martin Currie fund manager Tom Walker has been appointed as a non-executive director of Lowland Investment Company.

Walker will join the board of the Janus Henderson-managed investment trust from 1 July 2019, and will also take his place on the board of JPMorgan Japan Smaller Companies Trust as of 29 July. James Henderson's Lowland trust to re-allocate fee charges to boost revenue Walker joined Martin Currie in 1996 and headed up the firm's global long-term unconstrained equity team. Among other mandates, he ran the £230m Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust between 2000 and 2018, when he retired and was succeeded by former BlackRock manager Zehrid Osmani.
