Wealth manager and family office Stonehage Fleming has appointed Kate Boswell as a director in its wealth planning team.
She joins the firm from Handelsbanken Wealth Management where she was a client director and head of private office in the North. This involved providing investment, financial and tax planning to clients.
Prior to this, she worked as chartered tax adviser at Deloitte.
At Stonehage Fleming she will be based in London and report to the firm's head of wealth planning Susie Hillier.
There are currently 14 people in the firm's wealth planning team including partner William Tudhope and director of wealth planning Matthew Brown.
Hilier said the appointment of Boswell demonstrated Stonehage Fleming's dedication to expanding its wealth business.
"We are very pleased to welcome Kate as a director at Stonehage Fleming. She has considerable experience in advising entrepreneurs on the management of their wealth outside of their business as well as private equity individuals at all stages of their financial journey.
"Kate's appointment demonstrates our commitment to the further growth and development of our wealth planning offering to continue to meet the needs of our UK client base."
Boswell commented: "I am very pleased to join Stonehage Fleming's wealth planning team and look forward to adding value to both existing and new clients by providing strategic wealth planning advice in conjunction with the wider Stonehage Fleming family services."
