Beaten Woodford Patient Capital on track for recovery and re-entry of FTSE 250

Increased by more than a fifth in value

Prospects are brightening for Neil Woodford's £710m Woodford Patient Capital trust, which could re-enter the FTSE 250 in the index reshuffle next month.

Celebrations were short-lived for the manager in October after the trust was promoted to the FTSE 250, but index compilers FTSE Russell said they had made a mistake less than a week later. But next month the league of UK-listed stocks will undergo its quarterly reshuffle, with the results taking effect on 19 December, and which could see the trust re-enter the index after being booted out back in June.
