Hermes boosts global credit team with EMD hire from Jupiter

Hermes Investment Management has expanded its global credit team with the appointment of Nachu Chockalingam, who joins as senior emerging market debt portfolio manager from Jupiter.

  Chockalingam will help manage a number of existing emerging market allocations across the group's liquid credit strategies including the $386m Hermes Unconstrained Credit fund, which launched in May 2018. The fund invests in a range of global liquid credit areas such as emerging market debt, along with investment grade, high yield, convertibles, asset-backed securities and loans. At Jupiter, Chockalingham worked on the emerging markets strategy. Prior to this, she was a portfolio manager for emerging markets assets on the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan in Canada.
