Former CEO of Investment Quorum Lee Roberston and former global head of marketing at Janus Henderson Rob Page are among a group of four senior industry professionals who have teamed up to launch Octo Members Group, an app-based proposition for the financial services community.
Alongside Andy Brown, investment director at Prudential Portfolio Management Group, and Jon Rocchi, former head of new business at Financial Express, Page and Robertson have unveiled Octo Members, an app for financial services professionals to "connect, share and engage".
Slated for launch in Q4, the app is described by the founders as "the first financial services business of its kind, built by the industry for the industry," providing members with access to the latest investment ideas and debate.
Robertson said: "We have built Octo Members with the financial services community, particularly advisers, at the forefront of our thinking.
"We exist purely to facilitate informed debate between the professional adviser community and product providers and with the aim of enhancing investor outcomes."
Robertson recently joined the executive board of the Association of Independent Non-Executive Directors (AiNED) after stepping down from his role as CEO of Investment Quorum, which he founded in 2000, down following a management buy-out led by CIO Peter Lowman, director of private clients Nicholas Rolf and Petronella West, who replaced him as CEO.
