Mona Shah, former head of collectives research at Rathbone Brothers, is set to join Stonehage Fleming this month as director of investment strategy and research.
Based in London in a newly-created role, Shah will report to John Veale, deputy head of investments.
In her role, she will sit on the investment committee at the family office and be responsible for selection and review of managers in multi-asset client portfolios.
Prior to joining Stonehage Fleming, Shah worked at Rathbone Brothers for 11 years where she led the firm's long-only and alternatives investment process, having joined following university.
She was also a finalist in last year's Investment Week's Women In Investment awards in the category of Fund Analyst of the Year.
Veale said: "We are very pleased to have Mona join us as a director in the investment strategy and research team.
"Mona has had an impressive career and at Stonehage Fleming she will be able to build on her knowledge of investment research, development, and management. Mona understands our integrated approach and we have created this new role in our investment team to match with her skills and experience. She will be a great asset to the group."
Shah said: "I am delighted to join Stonehage Fleming in September and work alongside such a talented team. I have been impressed by the firm's commitment to excellence and strong values. I look forward to contributing to their ongoing success."
