Janus Henderson to merge World Select with Global Equity fund

Janus Henderson Investors is set to merge the £117m World Select fund with the £529m Global Equity fund, following a review of the range.

The merger is subject to investor approval and is set to complete on 20 September this year. The Global Equity fund will continue to be managed by global equities head Ian Warmerdam, who has been running the strategy since 2009, and portfolio manager Ronan Kelleher, who was appointed co-manager in 2016. The firm said there were a number of "key similarities" in the investment objectives and policies of the two funds.
