AllianzGI appoints SLI's Richard House for senior EMD role

Allianz Global Investors has hired former Standard Life Investments EMD head Richard House as CIO for its emerging market debt business.

House succeeds Greg Saichin, who has left to take a career break after five years at Allianz. He will be based in London and report to Malie Conway, CIO of global fixed income. House left Standard Life (now Aberdeen Standard Investments) last September after the £11bn merger with Aberdeen Asset Management, which completed in August, following the integration of its fixed income teams. He joined the firm in 2012. Prior to this he worked as a portfolio manager with HSBC and as an emerging markets debt trader at Wadhwani Asset Management. House began his investment career in 1994...
