Fidelity switches strategy on Euro Blue Chip fund to best ideas portfolio

Fidelity has switched the strategy of the Euro Blue Chip fund to a best ideas portfolio driven by analyst stock selection.

Alexandra Hartmann, who was previously lead manager on the Luxembourg-domiciled fund, will continue to oversee the portfolio, supported by Karoline Rosenberg and Fred Sykes as well as the European head of portfolio construction and risk Stephen Barnett. "We have decided to evolve the investment approach for the European Blue Chip strategy in response to client demand for a pure Eurozone strategy with greater stock-specific risk," a Fidelity spokesperson said.
