Managers Barrass and Hughes to retire from Janus Henderson

Fund managers Ian Barrass and Colin Hughes are set to retire from Janus Henderson Investors.

Barrass (pictured), who co-managed the £108m Henderson Alternatives Strategies Trust (HAST), is set to depart at the end of June, due to a long-standing health issue. Co-manager James de Bunsen will continue in his role, which he has held since 2014 while Peter Webster, fund manager at Janus Henderson, is becoming co-manager on HAST following Barrass' retirement. Barrass joined Henderson in 2005 as a partner on its private equity business, primarily responsible for managing funds of funds' portfolios.
