Healthcare and technology sector ETFs are the most popular among wealth managers, according to a survey conducted by State Street Global Advisors' (SSGA) ETF arm, SPDR.

The survey, which interviewed 53 wealth managers between 8 December and 6 April, found healthcare was the most popular with 47% citing it as attractive, while technology was second with 43%. Telecommunications and energy sector ETFs were considered the most unattractive by respondents with 27% and 24% of the vote, respectively. When selecting a sector ETF, 40% of wealth managers said liquidity was the most important characteristic, while 31% stated the financial strength of the provider with the same amount pointing to the cost of the ETF.
