Schroders appoints private equity veteran Buffini to board

Sir Damon Buffini has joined the board and the nominations committee of Schroders, effective 1 February.

Buffini has over 25 years' experience in private equity, starting his career at Schroder Ventures in 1988 before becoming a managing partner of Permira for ten years to 2007.  He was subsequently appointed chairman in 2007 and held the role for three years before retiring in 2010. However, he remained an adviser at the firm for five more years until 2015.
