Montanaro hires from Columbia Threadneedle as it targets IFA market

Montanaro Asset Management has hired Chris Crier from Columbia Threadneedle as it makes a push for the UK advisory market and launches a new fund.

Crier was formerly business development manager at Columbia Threadneedle from October 2015 to November 2017. Prior to this he worked at Goldman Sachs and Neuberger Berman.  At Montanaro, he will be responsible for targeting the UK advisory market, which is a new market for the formerly institutional-facing business.  He will initially be focusing on marketing the firm's £250m UK Income and £156m European Income funds that are managed by Charles Montanaro and George Cooke respectively.  Montanaro's Cooke on how to enjoy fund management in the good times-and bad Crier will also be...
