Jupiter creates head of governance research role for Ash Ray

Jupiter Asset Management has appointed Ash Ray as head of governance research in a bid to ensure corporate governance is an integrated part of the firm's investment process.

In this newly-created role, Ray, who has worked in the group's governance team for ten years, will report directly to Stephen Pearson (pictured), chief investment officer and chairman of Jupiter's stewardship committee. He will lead a team of governance analysts providing research and guidance on regulatory requirements and best practice, and focusing on the firm's engagement priorities for its fund management teams.
