Architas hires manager from Russell Investments

Will co-manage a number of funds

Architas has appointed Mayank Markanday as investment manager from Russell Investments to co-manage a number of funds, including the £238m Diversified Real Assets fund alongside Soloman Nevins and Sheldon MacDonald.

Markanday will co-manage the £8m Architas Diversified Global Income fund, also run by Nevins and MacDonald, and the £108m Architas MM Monthly High Income fund, which is managed by Nevins and Nathan Sweeney, senior investment manager at the firm. Furthemore, he will be deputy portfolio manager on the group's multi-asset blended range. Meanwhile, Markanday will be the sector lead on UK fixed income and the fixed income aspect of alternatives, such as asset-backed securities.
