Marc Knowles, former head of ETFs at BMO GAM, has joined the ETF team at KPMG.
Knowles joined KPMG UK as ETF head in July following his departure from BMO GAM in May after two years.
His new role involves building and developing an ETF consultancy for the firm.
Knowles has joined as a director in the firm's asset management consulting team, led by Tim West, to spearhead its growing capability in the ETF arena.
He joined BMO GAM in May 2015 to help the firm develop an ETF strategy, culminating in the launch of a nine-strong ETF range in November 2015.
Prior to this, he spent ten years at iShares and worked as a director at Markit.
He said: "I join KPMG's ETF team at an exciting time, there are some great challenges and opportunities facing the ETF market."
West, head of investment consulting, said: "It is a pleasure to welcome senior industry figures like Marc into the firm, his move is testament to the talent and growing reputation of our team. Marc is already known and respected by many of our clients who I'm sure will benefit hugely from his experience and insight."
