Schroders hires ex-BlackRock active investments head as McLaughlin retires

Schroders has hired Charles Prideaux as head of solutions, replacing John McLaughlin, who will retire from the industry at the end of the year.

McLaughlin spent 24 years at the firm, most recently as head of portfolio solutions, and also held a number of senior roles including multi-asset head and structured solutions head. His replacement Prideaux joins after a long career at BlackRock, where he held a number of senior roles since joining the firm in 1988 before leaving last year, including institutional client business head, EMEA and active investments head, EMEA.
