Update: Kames Capital's Roberts and Milburn to join Liontrust

Snowden and Hull made co-heads of fixed income at Kames

Liontrust Asset Management has appointed fixed income specialists David Roberts and Phil Milburn from Kames Capital, who will join the firm early next year, when it plans to launch three new bond funds.

The group intends to launch Strategic Bond, High Yield Bond and Absolute Return Bond funds, subject to appropriate regulatory approvals once the duo joins its Edinburgh office early next year. Liontrust's chief executive John Ions said: "David and Phil will be an excellent addition to our existing seven fund management teams, and we look forward to promoting them to our client base in the UK and Continental Europe.
