Key industry players join forces as IA sets up ETF committee

Vanguard, Amundi, Deutsche AM, BlackRock among members

The Investment Association (IA) has created an ETF committee, comprising some of the industry's major passive fund providers, to discuss key issues related to the sector such as regulation and educating investors about the products.

Its committee, which has been in existence for a few months, includes representatives from Vanguard, Invesco PowerShares, Amundi, Deutsche AM, HSBC GAM and BlackRock's iShares, as well as Lyxor AM.  Existing members said the committee has already met several times this year to discuss regulatory issues, as well as ways the IA can promote exchange-traded products and educate investors on how they work and their benefits.
