Morgan Stanley appoints ex-Reuters CEO to board

Morgan Stanley has appointed former CEO of Reuters Group Thomas Glocer as independent lead director of its board of directors.

Effective as of 1 September, Glocer will be taking over from Erskine Bowles as part of the firm's governance policy of rotating lead directors after a certain amount of time. Glocer has been director at the firm since May 2013 and chair of the operations and technology committee since February 2014.
