Ex-Waverton boss Grootenhuis joins Charles Stanley board

Charles Stanley has appointed Hugh Grootenhuis, former chief executive of Waverton Investment Management, to its board as an independent non-executive director, subject to regulatory approval.

Grootenhuis was CEO of Waverton from 2009 to 2015, but overall spent 18 years at the business. He is also a director for S.W. Mitchell, joining former Waverton colleague Stuart Mitchell, and Bridge Fund Management. He will join the Charles Stanley board on 1 September or on receipt of regulatory approval, whichever comes later.
