Henley-based asset manager Invesco Perpetual has appointed Nick Black as its head of investment trust distribution, following the retirement of Andrew Watkins earlier this month.
The group, which is responsible for 12 investment trusts including the £950m Perpetual Income and Growth IT managed by Mark Barnett (pictured), has promoted Black to take over the role effective immediately.
He worked with former head of investment trust distribution Andrew Watkins since joining the team in 2012 but has worked at Invesco Perpetual since 2007.
Black told Investment Week he is not "making any changes for changes sake" but is simply focusing on "working smarter".
He said: "I have been here for a decade. I will be leading the wealth manager and private investor distribution strategy for Invesco Perpetual's trust business and will continue to build on making the business better."
The team is now looking to hire someone to help Black "be more proactive with regional investors and the day-to-day servicing of shareholders".
